Why Metal?
Acoustics
At DAMPA, we have been producing acoustic solutions made of metal for more than 70 years. This is because all three types
of sound absorbers can be activated through metal - even though it may not seem intuitive that a hard, reflective surface can
create good acoustics.
Our acoustic metal solutions consist of a perforated metal surface. By perforating the metal, two of the three absorber types
are activated: the membrane absorber and the resonance absorber. To include all three, an acoustic felt is applied to the back
of the metal plate, which adds the porous absorber.
By combining all three types, we can create optimal acoustics tailored to both the function of the room and the needs of its
users.
Adjust the acoustics
With a DAMPA solution, the acoustics can be adapted precisely to the room’s purpose, as we deliver both ceiling and wall
solutions in acoustic classes A, B and C due to the properties of the metal.
Our various wall panels are all classified as acoustic class A, ensuring highly effective acoustic regulation.
In addition to targeting the frequency ranges that define the acoustic classes, we have also developed a wall panel that, if we
may say so ourselves, goes a step beyond the ordinary.
DAMPA® Silent Board, with a depth of 100 mm, is capable of absorbing even the lowest frequency ranges, making it an ideal
solution for environments such as childcare facilities.
