Why metal?
Acoustics
At DAMPA, we have been producing metal-based acoustic solutions for more than 70 years. We have
chosen metal because it enables us to incorporate all three types of sound absorbers—even though it may
not seem intuitive that a hard, reflective surface can contribute to good acoustics.
Utilizing All Three Absorber Types
Our perforated metal solutions activate two of the three absorber types: membrane absorbers and
resonance absorbers. By adding an acoustic felt, we introduce the porous absorption, ensuring that all three
absorber types work together.
By combining all three, we can create optimal acoustics tailored to the room’s function and the users’
needs.
Customized Acoustic Solutions
With a DAMPA solution, you can adjust the acoustic properties to match the specific use of the space. Our
wall and ceiling solutions are available in acoustic classes A, B, and C, thanks to the properties of metal.
Beyond Acoustic Classifications
Beyond meeting the frequency ranges that define acoustic classes, we have developed a wall panel that
goes a step further.
DAMPA® Silent Board, with a 100 mm depth, effectively targets low-frequency ranges, making it an ideal
solution for environments such as daycare facilities.
