DAMPA today
Today, DAMPA has approximately 60 employees, mostly living in the Tommerup area. It has a very high level of staff
retention, around half of the total having worked for the company before its sale by Chicago Metallic to Metalcolour.
One staff member, Dorrit Olsen, who was first was employed
in 1980, has spent 46 years making ceiling panels and tiles
there. In that timespan, Ms Olsen is reckoned to have been
personally involved in the production of around six-and-ahalf million of these – which, according to DAMPA, would be
enough to build a continuous strip of acoustic ceiling all the
way from Tommerup to Cairo.
