In 2001 DAMPA celebrated its 50th anniversary by setting
new sales records in its two main market areas of marine
ceilings and ceilings for the building construction industry.
For the latter, DAMPA Wing was introduced in 2002, thereafter winning the Denmark Innovative Design Award. This
comprised elements formed of slender curved panels bowing downward on either side of a suspended trough containing lighting or ventilation. When installed in rows, it
formed a gently wavy ceiling, reflecting diffused illumination.
Turnover for the year was 145.2 million kroner and the profit
was 8.6 million kroner with exports accounting for 64 per
cent of total sales.
