Drejet’s first employer, EAC, was famous for its corporate
hospitality and he brought this culture to DAMPA, arranging
a luncheon party for all staff and invited guests to launch the
new brand identity. He also had the company purchase a
yacht, which was named ‘Team Spirit’, for team-building
sailing days. Such glamorous corporate activity reflected
the period’s emergent management culture more generally
as, in companies all over the western world, leaders of Drejet’s generation sought to bring ‘the good life’ into their
workplaces.
A second international DAMPA conference was organised in
Singapore, replicating the format of the first such event in
Rio de Janeiro.
