In 1965, Børge Davidsen – who had managed Dæmpa’s
development from the outset – retired and was superseded
as managing director by Harald Muus. Jean Fischer was at
the same time promoted as technical director. A salesperson in Dæmpa’s office, Torben Lundmark Jensen, who had
shown himself to be dynamic and with great potential, was
made commercial director to oversee a further expansion of
sales of Dæmpa’s products.
Educated at Niels Brocks Business School in Copenhagen
and also in the Danish business schools in London and Bremen, he had begun his career with the paint maker Sadolin
& Holmblad, from which he had moved to Dæmpa in 1958.
Over the ensuing decade, Lundmark would have considerable success in selling Dæmpa ceilings far and wide.
